The elegant Sharmila Tagore and the lovely Soha Ali Khan got together for a good cause, 'Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon (MKBKSH)'. This is a trans-media drama series that seeks to promote strong women characters. It was launched today in the city by the Population Foundation of India (PFI). Marking the spirit of International Woman’s Day, the series premieres on March 8, 2014 on Doordarshan and will run every Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 pm.
On the occasion, Sharmila Tagore said, “There is a silent revolution taking place in India - a revolution led by young girls and women who are beginning to realise their potential. Main kuch bhi Kar sakti hoon captures this silent revolution. It portrays working women - health workers, school teachers, and others - as confident - fully capable of managing home and work - of serving society. The lead role is played by Sneha - an inspiring young woman from a small town who becomes a doctor. She represents the aspirations of many young women today. She is confident and capable. She stands up for what she believes is right. There is a Sneha in every young woman - Snehas who can achieve anything they choose to - kuch bhi kar sakti hain - with a little bit of support from family and society.”
Soha Ali Khan said, “As a family, we will promote the cause of Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon. One of the best way to influence people is through the power of the Television.”
