While some veterans such as Asha Parekh are keen to have today's stars Priyanka and Deepika reprise their old roles, some others are more sceptical about the current era of filmdom. Asha Bhosle, in a recent press conference in Dubai, voiced her thoughts on today's music. The legendary singer, who is all set for her musical concert on December 13 tagged some of today's Bollywood songs as 'cheap'.

Gulf News reported Ashaji as saying, "Now anything and everything sells. If you keep eating rubbish ultimately, you’ll get used to it and think that’s good. Similarly, if you keep listening to cheap songs, you’ll start enjoying them. That’s how the public is. It will take anything as long as it’s free. What else can you say for lyrics that have Fevicol, chewing gum and lungi in them? No longer can a woman sit in a mehfil and sing a song. What will she sing? Munni Badnam Hui? In front of her parents, in-laws and children?"

Well, what do you think of this? Has Indian music really lost its charm?
