Two much awaited movies released over the weekend: One being YRF's Shuddh Desi Romance starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra and Vani Kapoor and the other being Zanjeer starring Priyanka Chopra and Ramcharan Teja.
However, though one of them is looking good business wise, the other seems to be a debacle at the box office.
Shuddh Desi Romance made a business of approximately Rs 23.35 cr nett in its opening weekend. ( Fri 6.45 cr, Sat 7.90 cr, Sun *est* 9 cr +), which is a good deal for the small budget film.
Zanjeer, on the other hand seems to be going downhill with a business of approximately Rs 9.74 cr nett in its opening weekend (Fri 3.58 cr, Sat 2.89 cr, Sun 3.27 cr).
Trade experts mention that this trend of SDR going upwards and Zanjeer traveling downhill will continue in the coming days.
